POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and automation-related issues, and coordinating with internal and external resources as needed. This role will also support manufacturing functions—including assembly, fabrication, shipping, and loading—when required. The technician will document maintenance activities in the company’s web-based tracking system and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability and asset utilization.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3–5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or support role, preferably in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and cleanliness standards
Willingness to work any shift, including overtime as needed
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and focused on achieving goals
Demonstrated ability and eagerness to learn new technologies and resolve day-to-day manufacturing challenges
Solid mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control schematics
Electrical skills are a strong asset
Effective English communication skills, with the ability to read and understand operating manuals; state electrical certification is considered an excellent asset, though not required
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform demand-based, corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance on all facility and production equipment in compliance with applicable regulations
Complete assigned preventive maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision
Ensure all contractors follow safety protocols and security procedures when on-site
Responsible for equipment setup, relocation, and ensuring efficient mechanical operation
Conduct daily facility and equipment inspections; complete inspection reports and address, escalate, or report issues as necessary
Operate and maintain HVAC systems, water treatment, air handling/exhaust systems, heat exchangers, emergency generators, sump/sewage systems, and life safety systems
Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotational basis in coordination with the Plant Manager
Address employee concerns and assist in resolving equipment-related issues promptly
Maintain and update the FIIX CMMS maintenance tracking system
Provide support to manufacturing operations—including assembly, fabrication, and shipping—during non-maintenance periods

Minimum of 40 hours per week; rotation and weekend hours maybe available
