Credit and Collections

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join their team.

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with the clients. Your keen attention to detail and strong communication skills will be vital in resolving payment issues and minimizing delinquent accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to follow up on overdue accounts.

• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements for overdue balances.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and payment status.

• Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and address discrepancies.

• Prepare and send out monthly statements and reminders to customers.

• Analyze customer accounts to identify trends and develop strategies for improving collections.

• Provide excellent customer service while addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to billing and payments.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role.

• Knowledge of collection procedures, laws, and best practices.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with accounting software.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
