Are you a technical expert with a knack for solving complex problems and a passion for providing top-tier customer support? Do you excel at working with customers, dealers, and field service technicians to ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Customer-Focused Technical Advisor position, specializing in Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC) product lines.

A company that pride themselves on delivering innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of their customers. We're seeking a dedicated and technically proficient individual to support the VRC systems, acting as the go-to resource for troubleshooting, system optimization, and customer communication.

What You’ll Do:

As a Technical Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors operate at peak performance for our customers, dealers, and field service technicians. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers who need assistance with VRC systems. Address technical questions, diagnose issues, and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Parts, Customer Service & Field Technician Support: Collaborate with the parts, customer service, and field service technicians to provide technical support to parts, resolve product or service requests regarding parts orders, and guidance on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VRCs. Offer on-the-spot technical support during service calls to resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.

  • Problem Solving: Analyze system performance and root-cause issues. Use your technical expertise to identify solutions that improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance system reliability.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Work with the Managers to identify root causes of warranty errors and document, track and maintain data in the ERP system. Process warranty claims for products. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, maintenance manuals, and best practices for VRC systems. Ensure that all customer interactions are logged accurately and that issues are tracked until resolution.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and resources for internal teams, dealers, and field technicians to improve their understanding of VRC systems. Develop and deliver technical presentations or webinars to enhance product knowledge.

  • Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback from the field, helping to improve product design, functionality, and performance based on customer needs and challenges.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Technical Expertise with VRC Systems: A solid understanding of Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors, including their design, functionality, and common issues. Experience with similar lifting or conveyor systems is highly desirable. Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) components. Knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to become fluent in Epicor M2K.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: You can analyze complex technical problems, break them down into manageable components, and identify effective solutions quickly. You thrive on finding answers to challenging situations.

  • Customer-Focused Mindset: You have a customer-first mentality, always working to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service and support. You’re patient, empathetic, and skilled at explaining technical concepts in clear, understandable terms.

  • Attention to Detail: Whether you’re reviewing a system’s performance data, writing documentation, or diagnosing a technical issue, you have a keen eye for detail and ensure nothing is overlooked.

  • Communication Skills: You can clearly communicate technical information to a diverse audience, including customers, field technicians, and dealers. You’re a skilled listener, able to ask the right questions to fully understand the issue at hand.

  • Experience in Technical Support or Field Service: A background in technical support, field service, or similar customer-facing technical roles is ideal. Familiarity with industrial equipment, particularly conveyors or lifting systems, is a big plus.

  • Team Player with Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’re comfortable collaborating with various departments — from field service to product development — to ensure customer needs are met and systems are running smoothly.

  • Proactive & Organized: You can manage multiple tasks at once, keep track of customer inquiries, and follow through to ensure timely resolutions. You stay organized in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Why Join The Team?

  • Competitive Salary & Benefits: Offering a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

  • Growth Opportunities: Committed to your professional development. You’ll have access to ongoing training and career growth opportunities within the organization and become apart of an Employee Owned company.

  • Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Your contributions will make a real impact on our products, services, and customer satisfaction.

  • Innovative Products: Work with cutting-edge technology in the material handling industry. Our VRC product line is at the forefront of vertical transportation solutions, and you’ll be part of a team dedicated to delivering excellence.
