POSITION – Quality Technician
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Direct-hire or Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 3rd Shift (10:54pm-7am, Sun-Thurs)
STARTING PAY – Up to $25.00/hour DOE

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School diploma or equivalent and Technical diploma (1-year) in precision inspection
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Technical diploma (1-year) in precision inspection and 2–3 years of relevant experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support our molding operations. Responsibilities include training operators on quality standards, documenting procedures for new products, addressing quality and training issues, managing document control, developing in-process inspection plans based on customer specifications, and generating certificates of compliance. Additional tasks may be assigned to meet departmental goals.
Responsibilities:

Confirm product meets specifications at startup
-
Continuously monitor product throughout production for compliance

Guide operators on adjustments due to changing conditions or requirements

Train operators on proper procedures and techniques
-
Ensure all visual and dimensional inspections follow the inspection plan

Verify completion of all required job documentation

Keep files and records organized and up to date
-
Prepare certificates of compliance
-
Promote a collaborative and team-oriented work environment
-
Perform first article inspections and capability studies
-
Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the manager
-
Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System standards
Qualifications:
-
Technical diploma (1-year) in precision inspection
-
2–3 years of relevant experience
-
Basic understanding of GD&T and ability to read blueprints
-
Familiarity with SPC principles
-
Skilled in using digital and dial inspection tools
-
Knowledge of standard quality equipment (gage blocks, plug gages, etc.)
-
Strong basic math skills
-
Experience with Surface Plate and Optical Comparator inspection
The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, urgency, and a proactive mindset to take ownership of their responsibilities and growth.
Language Skills:
Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and general correspondence. Able to communicate clearly and effectively when speaking to groups of employees or customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Proficient in performing basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Skilled in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages. Able to convert measurements between English and Metric systems.
Reasoning Ability:
Able to apply practical reasoning to follow instructions delivered through written, verbal, or diagrammed formats. Capable of addressing problems that involve multiple concrete variables within standard operating situations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Visual: Able to accurately distinguish between different colors and shades.
