Position – Powder Coat Painter

Job Location – Oconomowoc, WI

Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift (6:30am – 5:00pm Mon-Thurs, Fri for OT)

Starting Pay – Depends on Experience, $18 - $30 per hour

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning, degreasing, and masking parts before coating. 

• Powder Application: Applying powder coating using manual and automated spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications. 

• Quality Control: Inspecting coated parts for defects, proper thickness, and adherence to quality standards. 

• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operating powder coating equipment, including spray guns, ovens, and booths, and performing routine maintenance. 

• Material Handling: Loading and unloading parts from the coating line or oven, potentially using overhead cranes. 

• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues during the coating process. 

• Safety Compliance: Following safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment. 

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Experience with liquid spray painting techniques, material handling, and equipment operation. 

• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform tasks that may involve standing for extended periods, lifting, and working in various positions. 

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in surface preparation, paint mixing, and application to achieve a high-quality finish. 

• Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues related to surface imperfections or application problems. 

• Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with supervisors and other team members. 

• Safety Awareness: Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and procedures. 

• Experience: Previous experience as a painter, especially with specialized coatings or equipment, is required.
