POSITION – Project Manager (onsite)
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift
STARTING PAY – $60,000-$70,000 BOE
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE –1–2+ years of experience in technical project management or within the plastics manufacturing industry preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting
As a Project Manager, you’ll drive customer programs from initial concept through to full production—shaping key decisions around materials, tooling, and part design. Working cross-functionally, you’ll play a central role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions while fostering innovation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead all program phases from quoting to production approval, partnering with engineering and tooling teams to estimate parts and tooling accurately
Collaborate closely with Tooling Engineers and Estimators to develop detailed and reliable cost quotes
Recommend optimal plastic materials and suggest design improvements to enhance manufacturability and reduce overall costs
Drive cross-functional collaboration and support continuous improvement initiatives across departments
Coordinate the sourcing of tooling, materials, and components while ensuring alignment with cost objectives
Create and manage detailed project timelines to keep all activities on track with quoted delivery targets
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring consistent communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Manage MRP system inputs, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost data, and all relevant program documentation
Participate in sample runs and work with molding teams to verify production readiness
Partner with the QA Manager to define quality standards and oversee first article inspections
Ensure customer production approval is obtained within two weeks of initial sampling
Maintain adherence to the Quality Management System and accurately document all program activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting
1–2+ years of experience in technical project management or within the plastics manufacturing industry preferred
Proven ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and apply strong critical thinking skills to problem-solving and decision-making
