POSITION – Brake Press Set-Up II

JOB LOCATION – Chippewa Falls, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediately

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 5:45am-6:15pm)

STARTING PAY – $22+/hour based on experience plus shift differential

BENEFITS – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays

EDUCATION– High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Minimum 2 years of experience setting up and operating brake machines in a manufacturing setting

 

We are hiring an experienced Press Brake Set-up II responsible for preparing and adjusting specialized tooling and brake machines for production. The role involves operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, supporting operators, and may include stepping in as lead when a supervisor is unavailable.

 

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust brake machines and tooling for production and assembly operations

  • Install, align, and modify tooling based on schedules, instructions, and blueprints

  • Monitor production processes and suggest improvements to enhance quality and efficiency

  • Operate brake machines to bend and form metal components to customer specifications

  • Perform continuous quality checks using precision tools such as calipers and height gauges

  • Verify that materials and packaging meet quality standards throughout production

  • Conduct and support inspection activities to ensure quality compliance

  • Assist operators with machine use, blueprint interpretation, and quality checks

  • Train and guide team members on proper setup, machine operation, and documentation practices

  • Report equipment issues, material problems, or documentation errors promptly

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and documentation

  • Support Brake Operator I/II duties when needed

  • Provide instruction and leadership in the absence of a lead or supervisor

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience setting up and operating brake machines in a manufacturing setting

  • Solid understanding of assembly processes and ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Proven ability to consistently produce high-quality parts to specification

  • Skilled in using measuring tools and operating various hand tools and equipment

  • Basic computer proficiency with the ability to complete documentation accurately

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
