Position – Wet Spray Painter

Job Location – Oshkosh, WI

Starting Date – ASAP

Employment Term – Temp to hire

Employment Type – Full time

Work Hours (Shift) –  1st shift

Starting Pay – $22 to $24/hr

Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience

In this role, you will be responsible for applying various wet coatings to a wide range of manufactured parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, degreasing, and masking as required. 
• Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications and technical data sheets. 
• Operate and maintain wet spray painting equipment, including conventional, HVLP, and airless spray guns. 
• Apply wet coatings to a variety of materials (e.g., metal, plastic) with precision and uniformity. 
• Monitor paint thickness, adhesion, and finish quality to ensure compliance with standards. 
• Perform quality checks and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired results. 
• Clean and maintain painting equipment, spray booths, and work areas. 
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor painting issues. 
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects. 
• Maintain accurate records of paint usage and job progress.

Qualifications 

• Proven experience as a wet spray painter in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 
• Strong understanding of various wet coating types (e.g., epoxies, urethanes, enamels) and their application techniques. 
• Proficient in operating and maintaining wet spray painting equipment. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. 
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and practices.
