CNC Machinist - Set Up

Job Title: CNC Machinist – Setup & Production (1st Shift)

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our 1st shift team in Minneapolis, MN. This role focuses on machine setup and production operations to ensure high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate is experienced in reading blueprints, performing setups, and maintaining tight tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Monitor machine performance and perform tool changes and offsets as needed
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
• Perform basic troubleshooting and make adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety guidelines
• Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize machining processes

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience (milling, turning, or both)
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience with inspection tools and quality documentation
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
