What will you do as a Temporary Accounting Clerk? • Assist in month-end close procedures ensuring timelines of entries • Standard accounting bookkeeping work including review reconciliation summaries, deposits, journal entries, etc. • Perform the complete lifecycle of refunds, payments, and third-party payments • Maintain collections and bankruptcy files, working with the college’s collection agency as needed • Maintain collections and bankruptcy files, working with a collection agency as needed • Review receivables and work in the daily balancing of cash drawers, preparing deposits, and crediting appropriate accounts • Assist with financial processes, working with the financials coordinator to resolve system issues and test system upgrades Who qualifies for the Temporary Accounting Clerk position? • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of work experience OR an Associate’s degree with two 2 years of work experience OR a Bachelor’s degree plus 1 of work experience • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle and defuse conflicts • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism What hours will the Accounting Clerk work? • Monday – Friday, standard business hours • 40 hours, in-office • Temporary position How much will you earn as a Temporary Accounting Clerk? • Starting pay is $17/hr.
