We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our team and

contribute to the design and development of high-performance shutter systems and

security-related products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, driving

product innovation and cost-quality improvements that align with company growth objectives.

As a key technical expert, you will influence product decisions and support field and sales

teams with technical expertise.



ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production,

ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency

• Perform load calculations, conduct FEA, select materials, and apply DFA/DFM

principles

• Improve existing products by identifying cost reduction, quality enhancement, and

manufacturability improvements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into

actionable design specifications

• Produce layouts, detailed drawings, and installation instructions to support internal

teams and field installers



QUALIFICATIONS:


• Strong mechanical and structural aptitude with proven problem-solving and

creative thinking skills 

• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with minimal supervision, self-driven

to meet commitments, handle multiple projects, highly organized and a strong

customer service orientation 

• Excellent collaboration skills and a customer-focused mindset

• High energy and results oriented

• Ability to use tool room machinery (hand and power tools)

• Ability to travel for field investigations (if required) 



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


• Six (6) or more years of experience in design engineering of building materials,

construction, or related engineered products (New Product Development and

Sustaining Initiatives)

• Knowledge of extruded metals, heat treatment, hardware and other materials

• Experience developing motorized mechanisms

• Experience in mathematics, FEA, measurement tools and tolerancing 

• Experience with structural engineering and construction drawings a plus

• Experience with rolling shutters, window treatments, door systems, or windows is a

plus

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree; PE

license a plus



COMPUTER SKILLS:


• Proficiency with applicable software such as MSOffice 

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor (or equivalent)



COMPENSATION:


• Base salary commensurate with experience

• Eligible for Personal Performance Bonus + Company-wide profit sharing
