Salem Staffing’s Chicago Staffing Center is looking for a highly professional Press Machine Operator for a temporary to hire position at our client’s office located on the Northwest Side of Chicago. The molding press operator uses molds, presses, and equipment to produce rubber parts.
DAY-TO-DAY:

Operation of molding machines
-
In process inspection of part quality
-
Troubleshoot and resolve molding quality issues
-
Cooperation and professional conduct with coworkers and managers
-
Preparation of rubber, inserts, and any other materials needed to perform molding of product
-
Meet company standards for quality and productivity
-
Complete various required paperwork and documentation error free
-
Prevent damage or loss to tooling, fixtures, and machinery
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-
Able to fill out required documents and labels in English
-
Able to read and understand process documents and work instructions in English
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Able to multitask
-
Good hand dexterity and fine hand manipulation skill
-
Able to sit or stand for extended periods
-
Able to operate a hoist for raising and lowering press plates
-
Able to lift 50 pounds, or perform push/pull operations on tools up to 75 pounds for presses located in 612
-
Adequate visual skills to perform inspection of parts

Willing and able to problem solve when something isn’t working right
-
Good work ethic (comes to work and returns from lunch and breaks on time, works hard to reach work standards, tries to minimize waste)

Team player that gets along well with others (respectful of supervisors and co-workers, helps others by offering assistance and ideas when appropriate)

Is proactive in identifying potential problems or opportunities to increase productivity and quality, decrease waste and improve morale

Pay Range/Details: $15.00 per hour
