MIG/TIG Welder-Floater

RPM Staffing is looking for a skilled MIG/TIG Welder who is also able to float to various departments of a fabrication shop as needed!

Shift: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm

Pay: $19-23 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble steel and aluminum frames using MIG/TIG welding techniques.
• Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Measure, cut, grind, and weld materials to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Operate fabrication tools and machinery such as saws, grinders, drills, and presses.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Move between workstations and departments to provide welding or fabrication support where needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding workflow or technical issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MIG welding process.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, fabrication machinery, and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and environments as a rover.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
• Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and varying temperatures in a shop environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with jigs, fixtures, and frame alignment.
• Forklift or crane operation certification.
• Cross-training in other manufacturing tasks (e.g., assembly, painting, CNC operation).
