 We are seeking a dedicated Trash Truck Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the collection and transportation of waste materials, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainability within our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in safely collecting waste from designated areas.
• Load and unload materials from the trash truck, ensuring proper disposal practices.
• Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members to coordinate collection routes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
• Support the driver in navigating routes, including residential and commercial areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment after each shift.
• Engage with community members professionally while performing collection duties.

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role or within an outdoor environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork and customer interactions. 
• This is a physically demanding position and one must be able to continuously step up/down from the back of a truck and also perform overhead lifting. 
• Qualified candidates should be flexible on overtime needs to ensure route completion and be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
