About the Role:
As a Plumbing Superintendent, you will oversee all plumbing activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. Your leadership, technical expertise, and coordination skills will be key to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to review blueprints, assess project scope, and ensure efficient plumbing installations.
- Supervision of Plumbing Crews: Lead, assign tasks, and manage plumbing teams; verify certifications and training compliance.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, oversee PPE usage, and conduct safety training to maintain a safe work environment.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with electrical, HVAC, and other trades for seamless project execution.
- Budget & Cost Management: Monitor labor and material costs, optimize resources, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Problem Solving: Address technical challenges or team conflicts promptly to maintain project momentum.
- Reporting & Documentation: Keep detailed records of progress, issues, and expenses; provide regular updates to management.
- Training & Development: Stay current with industry standards and promote ongoing skills development for team members.
- Timely Completion: Manage schedules effectively to ensure projects finish on time, avoiding delays and overruns.
Qualifications:
- Valid TSBPE Plumbing License (Required)
- Proven experience in commercial, residential, and service plumbing projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Effective budgeting and resource management skills
