NOW HIRING: Underground Utility Worker – Paris, TX

Are you ready to work hands-on and make a real impact in your community? We’re looking for a dependable and safety-focused Underground Utility Worker to join our team in Paris, TX. This role involves installing and maintaining underground utility systems such as water, sewer, and gas lines.

Position Overview:
You’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks including excavation, pipe installation, equipment operation, and safety inspections. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drains, gas).
- Excavate trenches and ensure proper backfilling and compaction.
- Cut, align, and join pipes with precision.
- Operate tools and equipment including compactors, hoists, survey gear, skid loaders, and excavators.
- Perform confined space entry tasks in manholes, meter pits, and vaults (certification required).
- Locate and mark underground utility lines using GPS and electronic tracking.
- Assist with material handling, equipment cleaning, and light repairs.
- Maintain daily inspection logs and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications:
- Physical strength and stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Experience with hand and power tools used in utility work.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and hazard recognition.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Valid CDL may be required.
- Confined space entry certification preferred.
