Night Shift - Machine Operator

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining assigned machinery, ensuring quality standards, and supporting overall production efficiency. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, be safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

• Key Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery in accordance with work instructions and safety protocols
• Perform all assigned machine shop operations including setup and adjustments
• Monitor machine operations, detect work piece defects, and make performance-improving adjustments
• Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet specifications
• Perform routine and minor maintenance; submit work orders for major issues
• Read and interpret blueprints or job orders for product specifications and tooling
• Maintain clean and organized work area, including cleaning machinery regularly
• Follow all reporting and recordkeeping procedures
• Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management
• Assist in other areas of production as directed by supervisor

Advanced Responsibilities

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously
• Train new or less experienced operators in machine setup and safe operation
• Operate a forklift (Forklift certification required)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Prior relevant work experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
• Proficient in basic math and skilled in using a tape measure
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
