About the Opportunity
Referral Staffing Solutions is partnering with a well-established glass services company in the La Crosse area to find a skilled Glass Glazier. This is a great opportunity to join a team known for craftsmanship and high-quality service across both commercial and residential glazing projects.
Position Summary
As a Glass Glazier, you’ll be responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing a range of glass products, including storefronts, curtain walls, shower enclosures, mirrors, and interior glass systems. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who values precision, safety, and quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install glass and aluminum framing systems with accuracy
- Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings
- Safely handle, transport, and install glass using appropriate tools and methods
- Apply adhesives and sealants for secure, weather-resistant installations
- Remove and replace broken or outdated glass components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Coordinate effectively with other trades and clients on job sites
Qualifications
- Experience as a glazier or in a related trade preferred
- Proficient with glass-cutting tools, power tools, and installation equipment
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy materials
- Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license with a reasonable driving record and reliable transportation
- Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
Preferred Skills
- Experience with commercial storefront systems and curtain wall installation
- Familiarity with aluminum framing and structural glazing
- Commercial carpentry experience
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus (OSHA 10 will be provided for long-term hires)
- Trade school or apprenticeship background is a bonus
