Accounting Intern

A well-established logistics company is seeking a Seasonal Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting. This internship runs from April through August. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual looking to develop their skills in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reconciliation while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and post Accounts Receivable (A/R) billing data and resolve discrepancies.

• Provide updated A/R aging statements to customers.

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process and external audits.

• Process vendor invoices and ensure billing accuracy.

• Review and update Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and support financial reporting.

• Conduct research and assist in resolving discrepancies during reconciliations.

• Follow internal controls and participate in ad-hoc accounting projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills preferred.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Details:

• Seasonal role available on a part-time or full-time basis.

• Compensation ranges from $19 to $23 per hour, based on experience.
