Corporate Accounting Manager

 

The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the oversight of general accounting and financial reporting for this company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day general accounting and reporting functions by providing guidance and setting objectives for the team of divisional controllers and staff accountants

  • Coordinate and manage the US month end close and reporting processes working closely with other finance teams

  • Hire, train and develop staff

  • Manage group wide intercompany accounting

  • Oversee preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and bank reporting

  • Lead year-end financial audit and preparation of audited financial statements

  • Lead annual bank audit and support bank compliance reporting

  • Coordinate and manage annual payroll related audits

  • Assist with tax compliance

  • Assist with central budget preparation

  • Partner with regional and divisional group controllers in development of accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 7+ years accounting experience. CPA preferred.

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Critical thinking, hands on problem solving, change agent, attention to detail and demonstrated process ownership

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to build strong relationships throughout the organization

  • Financial ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus

  • Advanced Excel skills
