ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department
-
Process bi-weekly payroll in coordination with a third-party payroll provider.
-
Play a key role in managing risk and safeguard resources through internal controls.
-
Be willing to research and learn about accounting for a broad range of industries.
-
As a small office, employee may be required to handle some administrative duties.
-
Handle any other duties assigned by the CFO or VP of Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
-
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
-
Strong IT skills required.
-
Knowledge of payroll rules and regulations
-
Will be required to work in the office.
COMPETENCIES:

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensure compliance with company policies.

• Provide customer service to internal, related entities.

• Data Entry skills are essential.

• Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) including experience in coding invoices.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks and Netchex to perform tasks effectively and efficiently.

• Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents.

• Verify, log, and mail checks, including expediting special handling.
-
• Reconcile payroll provider’s quarterly and annual reports to bi-weekly payroll.

• Provide company/employee specific rates for withholdings and or benefits to payroll provider.

• Resolve payroll or remittance errors with the payroll provider.
-
• Keep track of employee paid time off.

• Facilitate adding/removing employees from insurance benefit and related programs.

• Perform special projects as assigned.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
