The Financial Analyst is responsible for internal management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and M&A support. This position mines, analyzes and reports data for business managers and executive management for several regions in the US. Job Duties:
• Design, build and maintain reports, dashboards and metrics used for monthly reporting,
financial analysis
• Provide audit and tax support
• Prepare and analyze extensive financial data for timely and accurate reporting in senior
management and board presentations
• Identify inconsistencies or trends through the analysis of internally and externally prepared
reports
• Develop and prepare annual operating and capital budget in conjunction with regions
• Monitor business unit and cost center adherence to approved P&L and capex budget
• Prepare monthly strategic cash road map
• Prepare monthly capital spend tracking and reporting
• Perform strategic and financial research and analysis
• Prepare competitor benchmarking/analysis
• Develop models for strategic business evaluations and presentations e.g. evaluating
geographic areas for new business expansion, M&A targets etc.
• Generate weekly inventory summary report
• Create daily purchasing report
• Gather and consolidate insurance renewal data
• Prepare census reports
• Provide other reports, analyses and forecasts in a timely manner verifying data integrity of
internal and external sources
Qualifications/Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in finance, accounting or data analytics
• High level of proficiency in the full MS-Office suite: particularly MS-Excel and PowerPoint
and a basic understanding of Word and Visio. Detailed knowledge and experience of using
Excel formulas such as index, match, v and h look-ups and pivot tables is required. (macros
are a plus)
• Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Qlkview
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
• Ability to manipulate and dissect large datasets to identify and present meaningful summary
