JOB# 546 Maintenance Mechanic Electrician
Denton, TX
This position will start as a day position for training purposes but will eventually become 7:00pm-3:30am M-F.
$25/hr. + depending on experience
We have an immediate opening for a highly-skilled, licensed Electrical Technician to service our mechanical operations throughout the facility. You will respond to requests for electrical repairs and breakdowns as well as perform routine maintenance and upgrade equipment as necessary. Candidates must know how to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and make adjustments or repairs if they are not working properly. We prefer applicants who have at least two years of professional technician experience and have a flexible schedule.
Electrical Technician Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality
Assemble and install electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment
Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
Communicate estimated timelines for repairs to those impacted
Install new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure as needed
Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule
Log all services and report progress to management
Utilize and store all equipment properly
Electrical Technician Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid electrician license in good standing
3-5 years of experience working as an electrical technician
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment
Able to read blueprints and technical drawings
Proficient with manual and power tools
Familiar with code requirements and company safety regulations
Must pass pre-employment drug screen as well as background check.
