Pharmacy Clerk - Cashier
The Full-time Cashier Sales Associate position will be responsible for operating the Point of Sales system at the Pharmacy counter. They will be scheduled to work at the Pharmacy counter and required to cover break or vacation relief also. The position’s primary focus is customer service both at the counter and over the phone. This position requires you to stand the entire shift and working closely with the Customer Service Supervisor and the Merchandise Managers.
Responsibilities
• Make sales and provide service to customers either at the counter or over the telephone.
• Consistently use professional phone and customer service skills.
• Be knowledgeable of OTC, Nutritional’s and gift items.
• Work closely with other personnel on resets and research new items.
• Confirm the accuracy of item pricing and the quantities when ordering or placing items on shelf.
• Detail oriented and able to follow rules and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable to use computer system to quickly and accurately complete sales transactions.
• Check shelves for adequate stocking, accurate pricing the presence on price tags if bar codes are not present.
• Keep displays clean and attractively positioned.
• To keep the store area clean and neat, including organizing inventory on shelves.
• Maintain orderly and accurate pick-up station (including deliveries)
• Cover for other store personnel for breaks and lunch.
• Open and/or close the store as required.
• Consistently balance cash drawer.
• Assist in other areas as required.

• All customer product needs are identified, and solutions/options presented.
• All customer questions are fully answered.
• Customers have confidence in the information or advice provided.
• Customers return to the pharmacy and may know you by name.
• You have an excellent closing ratio, when closing a sale is required.
• The store customer base increases.
• New customers are obtained by referral from satisfied customers.
• The store is clean, attractive, and merchandise is priced, pleasingly displayed and easy to find.
• All educational/training classes on products & services have been taken.
• In-store marketing displays are neat, clean, well maintained and positioned attractively.
• You have excellent rapport with co-workers and are considered a vital part of the team.
• Keep management fully informed in a timely manner regarding all issues which may impact the reputation of the company.
• You are consistently punctual, dependable, and have an exemplary attendance record.
• Keep absenteeism to a minimum. In general, 6 days a year is acceptable with the exception for serious illnesses, Medical Leave Act situations and emergencies.
• Your appearance, dress, personal hygiene and performance reflect positively on the company.
Skills Required
The employee must have basic typing skills and be computer literate. The employee must be detail oriented neat and well organized and should demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively and peace workload appropriately to meet expectations.
Education or Experience Required
• At least one-year customer service experience or training in Customer Service.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Mature, friendly, and outgoing with proven value on confidentiality.
• Bilingual/Spanish fluency ideal.
Wage/Hours
$17.50 + DOE and skills
Monday - Friday, 8:00pm-5pm, weekends off/holidays and paid holidays after hire on.

- 1 yr C/S
