Responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Support managers and agents through a variety of tasks related to insurance and communication. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. May direct and lead the work of others. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to head of a unit/department.
PRIORITIES
• Customer service: Answering phones, responding to emails, and directing customer inquiries
• Records: Maintaining insurance records, preparing documentation, supporting staff
• Applications: Reviewing applications for accuracy and helping customers.
• Learning use of multiple computer systems from carriers to assist in transfer of data.
• Gathering information from clients, calculating insurance premiums.
• Provide general support to visitors
• Provide information by answering questions and requests
• Handle multiple projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be organized, with demonstrated skills for effective verbal and written communication. Should be familiar with business operations at the corporate level and should have a good understanding of the agency system. Must be highly knowledgeable about the mechanics and applications of word processing programs.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, and proficiency in various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
INCENTIVES
40 hours per week. Hourly Wage-$20.00 per hour and higher. Benefits: 401(k), Disability insurance, Health insurance, PTO, Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay
