Personnel Source is currently recruiting for immediate openings at Carestream Health in White City. These positions are an excellent chance to get in with a fantastic company with 176 locations worldwide! Most positions are 10 to 12-hour shifts on days, on your feet in a fast-paced production environment and offer advancement and full benefits once you are hired on. Long term, temp to hire.

Position Responsibilities:

• Makes decisions within a high-performance team environment, seeks opportunities to help others in/out of department during slack time.
• Demonstrates ownership of responsibilities.
• Troubleshoots machine and quality issues, able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, able to meet output/productivity needs.
• Trains in skills and job functions (operations/team) with recertification bi-annually.
• Trains and mentors’ new operators according to standard work.
• Reads, interprets, and follows written instructions in Standards and Process Revisions.
• Reports output correctly, completes all paperwork when required, efficiently records issues in Defect Record or Morning Market board.
• Keep supplies stocked for current orders and prepare for product changes.
• Escalates according to standard and notifies team lead of any issues.
• Obeys all safety rules as outlined in the operating procedure, promotes safety improvements.
• Keeps work area clean, orderly, and supplies in the correct 5S locations.
• Uses and cares for all machines and tools properly.
• Backs-up other team members to maintain continuous operation during break cycles.
• Influences the team positively, willing to accept overtime and flexible work schedules.
• Follows instructions and procedures, has a good work ethic and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates high initiative, willingly and regularly seeks out work, and ability to positively adapt to changing business conditions.
• Individuals in this role are empowered to escalate and/or take action as appropriate during non-standard situations to contain potentially discrepant product and to minimize safety risks. Individuals also have the authority to discard "routine waste" (damaged product, product that clearly do not pass release criteria) per appropriate procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shift on your feet, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Able to troubleshoot production issues in a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in low light (darkroom) conditions.
• Able to organize work and effectively manage use of time.
• Follow all work instruction including standard and change documentation.


Desired Skills:

• Experience with Power Industrial Trucks to move materials in manufacturing environment.
• Experience using lean manufacturing principles and tools (5S, Kaizen, QAS, FMEA, etc.) to improve processes and material flow.
• Able to troubleshoot production issues in a complex and fast paced environment.
• Experience with automated production reporting systems.
• Possess basic aptitudes in the following skills: math, and computers.
• Be able to understand the impact of schedule sequences on productivity and customer service.
• Possess knowledge of interpersonal communication skills to provide support of and input for team decisions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively for short durations.

Physical Requirements:

Person must be willing and able to meet the following physical requirements:

Standing: 50-75%                                               

  • Walking: 25-50%
  • Sitting: 1-25%
  • Bending: 25-50%
  • Carrying, Pushing or Pulling: 25-50%
  • Lifting 20-50 pounds: 1-25%

Wage:

Day shift: $19.00/hour

Night shift: $21.00/hour


Hours:

Position will train on day shift, 6:50am-5:20pm, M-Th

After training will move to nights, 8:30pm-7:00am

Qualifications

  • HS Dip/GED preferred
