CNC Machinist

Personnel Source is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our client's team located in beautiful Veneta, Oregon. They are a local company with 50+ years in operation. Their culture is described as a low stress family/team-based environment that looks out for one another. They are a dog friendly group!

*We are seeking machinists with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

JOB INFORMATION

• Training Schedule: 7 AM to 3:30 PM

• Post-Training Schedule: 10:30 AM to 7 PM

• Possible Adjustment: Shifts may later change to 1:30 PM to 10 PM

• Wage: $26 - $28 per hour, depending on experience

JOB DUTIES

• Set up and operate a range of CNC and manual machine tools to produce parts.
• Read and configure G-code programming.
• Use instruments like micrometers and digital calipers to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints.
• Inspect and test completed units for defects, ensuring they meet specifications with precision instruments.
• Set up, adjust, and operate both basic and specialized machine tools for various machining tasks.
• Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including standing, twisting, bending, and frequently lifting or moving materials weighing 40-70 pounds. Use of overhead cranes at each machine is also required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: At least 3 years as a machinist, with strong skills in operating CNC Lathe or CNC Mill machines. You should be comfortable setting up and running these machines and have experience with G-code setup and programming.
• Controls Knowledge: Familiarity with Fanuc or OSP controls, including the ability to read and edit code.
• Tools: You should have your own tools.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Forklift Experience: Experience operating a forklift is needed.
• Drug Test: Must pass a drug test.
