Machinist - Entry Level

Personnel Source is currently seeking a Machinist for our local client. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform machining, cutting, and shaping of metal using NC machines, lathes, mills, and drills to precise dimensions.
• Conduct operations to close tolerances and understand metal and alloy qualities.
• Set up machines and read blueprints.
• Train, mentor, and coach new employees.
• May require a forklift operator’s license.
• Retain knowledge through proper note-taking and engage in TIBs.

JOB DETAILS

• Wage: $19.00 per hour
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm (occasional overtime starting at 5am, instead of 7am)

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position; no experience needed but must be mechanically inclined.
• 1-2 years of related experience or demonstrated ability in the role is preferred. 
• Moderate physical effort, including frequent lifting and moving of average-weight materials; ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must pass a drug test, including for marijuana.
