Overview
Personnel Source Inc is seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to join the logistics team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
Duties
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate transportation activities
- Utilize transportation management systems to plan and optimize routes
- Monitor GPS tracking systems to track vehicle locations and ensure on-time deliveries
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities
- Dispatch drivers and provide necessary instructions for successful deliveries
- Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement
Experience
Required:
- Experience in logistics, dispatching, or related field
- Knowledge of transportation planning and logistics operations
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Shift Schedule Options: 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Overtime to be expected Note: Employer operates under the guidelines of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) which restricts hiring DACA recipients.
Starting Wage Range: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
