Job Overview: As a Commercial and Residential Fence Builder, you will play a key role in constructing various types of fences, including chain-link, wood, vinyl, aluminum, and wrought iron, for both commercial and residential properties. Working with a team of experienced professionals, you will be involved in all aspects of the fence building process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Fence Installation: Measure and mark fence layout according to specifications, ensuring precise placement of posts, panels, and other components.
- Material Handling: Load and transport fence materials, tools, and equipment to the job site, ensuring that all necessary items are available for the installation process.
- Post Setting: Dig post holes, set posts in concrete, and accurately align them to ensure stability and uniformity of the fence structure.
- Fence Assembly: Assemble fence panels and attach them securely to the posts, following manufacturer instructions and industry best practices.
- Customization: Cut and shape fence materials to fit specific dimensions and design requirements, particularly in cases where custom fencing solutions are needed.
- Gate Installation: Install gates and gate hardware, ensuring smooth functionality and alignment with the rest of the fence structure.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed fences for accuracy, alignment, and overall quality, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers professionally, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the fence installation process.
- Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any additional notes relevant to the project.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial and/or residential fence installation is helpful.
- Ability to read and interpret fence layout plans and specifications.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools related to fence building.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with other team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites. (Deal breaker)
- Availability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends, depending on project demands.
