Personnel Source is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team on a part-time basis. **Responsibilities:**
1. Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
2. Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements, addressing any discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors in accordance with payment terms.
4. Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with clients to resolve billing issues.
- Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate and timely posting of payments.
5. Expense Tracking:
- Process and track employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist in preparing expense reports for reimbursement.
6. Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide financial information and reports to management as needed.
7. Documentation:
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records for auditing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
8. Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure financial accuracy.
9. Ad hoc tasks:
- Assist with any additional accounting tasks as required.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in Accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
**Education and Experience:**
- High school diploma required; additional accounting coursework or degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
**Salary:**
Salary will be commensurate with experience (DOE).
