Personnel Source has a rare opportunity for a certified Law Student to work for the summer in the office of the District Attorney for Josephine County. You will need to have an interest in criminal law and must be an Oregon Court Certified Law Student (after 2L) who is authorized to appear in court and represent the State of Oregon. We expect you to understand the rules of evidence and Oregon criminal procedure and can communicate effectively with others.
This role will give you a jump start on your legal career while you:
- Represent the State of Oregon at arraignments
- Review police reports and make charging decisions on misdemeanor and felony cases
- Represent the State of Oregon in Trials and Hearings
- Review, research, and respond to defense motions and pending cases
This position will begin by June 1 and is expected to last eight weeks or more.
