Personnel Source is hiring entry-level 'Hand Packers' for our client’s family-owned business that specializes in electrical components and tools for vehicle restorations. This position is located in Eugene, OR.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production Sheets: Complete and submit daily, including Part #, pieces per pack, and quantity to build.
- Manuals: Check for packaging materials, instructions, and pictures of finished products for guidance.
- Marking Sheets: Record the quantity built and your initials as you complete items.
- Quantity Calculation: Determine how much to pull from Factory Bulk based on Quantity/Pack and Quantity to Build.
- Packaging Materials: Select the correct size bag, clamshell, Head Card, or Clam Card, and gather any needed instruction sheets. Double-check Cards for the correct Part Number.
- Packing: Pack items directly into the Finished Goods Bin without overfilling. Note that QT & KT are rubber-banded in 5’s and verify the Package Part # with the Bin #.
- For bagged items, place them in boxes with Head Cards and position them in the Eyelet Department.
- Apply heat sealing and stickers as required.
- Assemble kits according to the prearranged patterns specified on the Label bin box, and place completed kits in their designated location.
- Priority: Private Label and MFO (Made for Orders) packaging take precedence over daily Production Sheets. Pull and pack items as needed, complete the required forms, and return both the forms and merchandise to Shipping.
- Counting: Count items by hand or weight as needed. Use remaining factory bulk items to “overbuild” if quantities are low.
JOB DETAILS
Note: This role is mostly seated, with occasional walking to get or move products.
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license.
- Good with numbers – able to count by 5s.
- Repeated hand and finger manipulation.
