Janitor

Job Summary:

You play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of our industrial hospital linen facility. You will be responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment, adhering to strict hygiene protocols, and supporting the overall operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks in various areas of the facility, including production areas, storage spaces, restrooms, and common areas. Ensure all surfaces are clean and sanitized according to industry standards.

Waste Management: 

Handle the proper disposal of waste materials, including used linens, following established guidelines and safety procedures.

Supplies Management: 

Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report to the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. Ensure that cleaning materials are stored securely and used efficiently.

Safety Compliance: 

Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling hazardous materials and cleaning agents. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Record Keeping: 

Maintain accurate records related to cleaning activities, waste disposal, and any incidents that occur during your shift.

Adaptability: 

Be flexible and adaptable to changing cleaning needs, especially during peak production periods or special projects.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and materials.
• Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to use PPE effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves physical activities such as lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. You must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.

Wage and Benefits:

* Pay range $18-18.50/hr based on qualifications.
