Personnel Source is seeking an Assembler to join our Eugene client's team. Our client is the worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of premier sun glare mitigation products.


Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process.  Assemblers fabricate finished products and the parts and components that go into them. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements. They attempt to identify and resolve problems before defective products are made and packaged for shipping.


As an assembler, you must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. A top-notch assembler should have the ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents, and be a team player.


Requirements of Assembler:

High school diploma or GED and six months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematic skills – arithmetic, common fractions, percentages, and ratios.

Ability to understand mathematic notations and symbols on engineering drawings and interpret instructions in written and diagram form to assemble parts.

Basic computer experience.


Preferred Education & Experience:

Basic to intermediate MS Office skills a plus, particularly MS Word and MS Excel

At least one year of assembly experience


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Environment is temperature controlled and the noise level is low to moderate.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. There are often prolonged periods of sitting or standing depending on the task at hand.
  • Must be able to periodically lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds with or without team assistance.
  • Assemblers need to be able to grasp, manipulate, and adjust parts and components that are often very small, requiring a steady hands and good hand-eye coordination to ensure quality final goods
  • Assemblers are regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms in a fast-paced, often repetitive manner.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities of Assembler:

  • Coordinates workload with Production Planner and Production Manager to ensure assembly and packaging activities are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with work order BOMs, work instructions, and engineering drawings, as applicable. 
  • Coordinates and kits parts per work order Bill of Materials (“BOMs”) and open order report to ensure daily sales orders are fulfilled.
  • Reads and understand schematics and blueprints and uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Follows work order information, work instructions and provides finished goods inspection and certification. Properly records production data on work orders and/or on computer.
  • Conducts quality checks and reports discrepant materials, parts, and documents per company Quality Systems Manual.
  • Assists in inventory cycle counting activities for assembly area.
  • Assists in the training of assembler trainees in accordance with company policies and procedures as needed.
  • Complies with safety regulations in housekeeping requirements and the use of tools, machinery, safety equipment, and attire as required to ensure an accident-free workplace. Ensures equipment is maintained in accordance with documented procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
