Personnel Source is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our Eugene client's team in their roofing company! 


The Residential Accounting Technician position is a paraprofessional position with various accounting responsibilities. The primary focuses of the position includes accounts payable, accounts receivable for two entities and knowledge of city, state, and federal laws. Knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices and their application is required. A qualified Accounting Technician performs all duties and responsibilities described below with minimum supervision.


This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, temp-to-hire, $22-26.50/hr. DOE


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for all aspects of residential accounts payable – entering data, reviewing, processing, payment of vendor invoices and reconcile monthly statements to invoices.

2. Process daily account receivable deposits and residential invoice billings.

3. Responsible for accounts receivable collections.

4. Answering phones and assisting with walk-in customers.

5. Manage and respond to online submission forms.

6. Responsible for being the custodian of petty cash, reimbursing/replenishing the account as necessary.

7. Monthly preparation of Residential Job Profit & Loss for General Manger review.

8. Monthly maintenance of unclaimed property and annual filing with the state for both companies.

9. Vendor file maintenance includes W9’s for both companies.

10. Prepare the annual IRS Form 1099 for both companies.

11. Assist with contractor and commercial invoicing.

12. Assist with all Functions of Commercial Accounting Tech and HR/Payroll as necessary.

13. Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.

14. Assist with processing related payroll withholding payables.

15. Assist with certified payroll reporting.

16. Assist with reviewing and monitoring of accounting policies and practices for compliance with accepted principles of financial management and internal controls.

17. Identify finance/accounting-related problem situations and make recommendations for solutions.

18. Act as a financial resource for all departments.

19. Perform additional duties as requested.


Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Associate degree in accounting preferred or equivalent combination of education and five years of experience in general accounting, accounts payables, and reconciliations.

2. Significant knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, regulations and internal controls.

3. Ability to organize work and meet stringent schedules with minimum supervision.

4. Proficient with Microsoft Suite software.

5. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and supervisors to accomplish tasks through teamwork, maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.

6. Must have a current and valid Oregon driver’s license.
