We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join growing organization based in the Rocklin area. This opportunity offers a collaborative and engaging work environment, excellent growth potential, and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plan, nine paid holidays, vacation and paid sick leave). The Human Resources Generalist will work onsite, providing critical support to a fast-paced HR department in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, and safety training.


The qualified candidate will have previous experience as an HR Generalist within an organization of approximately 150–200 employees. A solid understanding of federal and state employment laws, along with strong employee relations capabilities, is essential. Proficiency in HR systems and technology is required; experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable.


Pay: $33-$38.46/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance and support, consultation, and direction, including application of HR policies and processes to managers and employees.
  • Conduct engaging new hire on-boarding.
  • Direct and recommend resolutions on employee issues; lead employee relations initiatives and investigations to ensure a positive and fair work environment, while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate open enrollment meetings for all plans and administer employee benefits to new and existing employees. 
  • Build the candidate talent pool through recruitment efforts to include direct calls, networking, social media, sourcing candidates from various groups, and job fairs. 
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and anticipate impending employee concerns or needs. 
  • Participate in employee recognition initiatives and events.
  • Perform audit activities to ensure an accurate and smooth semi-monthly payroll process.
  • Maintain timekeeping records and submit to corporate payroll according to deadlines. 
  • Facilitate development of training programs to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of all employees and leadership. 
  • Responsible for off boarding all separating employees, including COBRA administration.
  • Heavy involvement of all benefits, worker’s compensation, leave and safety administration.
  • Maintain general compliance with state and federal regulations for all human resources practices.
  • Produce various reports and HR metrics.
  • Respond to government requests for unemployment information and hearings.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree is required in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a HR Generalist in a company of 100 + employees.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, integrity and discretion involving confidential information. 
  • Advanced computer knowledge of HRIS (ADP Workforce Now preferred), and MS Office.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, organization, planning, time management skills and can multi-task across multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all employment laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act, FMLA, CFRA, Workers Compensation, and Harassment.
  • Ability to travel locally and work outside of normal business hours as needed.
