We are seeking a Card Investigations Technician on behalf of our client—a highly respected financial institution. This role is responsible for researching and analyzing member account activity to detect, investigate, and resolve fraudulent debit, credit, and ATM transactions with urgency in a fast-paced environment. The technician will ensure compliance with Visa Operating Rules and the timely processing of Regulation E and Z claims. Key responsibilities include facilitating the fraud reporting process to deliver a positive member experience, recommending recovery actions for disputed transactions, and managing all phases of claim preparation, processing, and resolution. Thorough documentation and adherence to established policies and procedures are essential throughout the review process.


Pay: $22.00/ Hour for a six-month contract.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee end-to-end card fraud claim processing, including member support, dispute resolution, document review, and claim submission
  • Communicate with VISA, merchants, processors, law enforcement, and members to investigate, escalate, and resolve fraud-related issues promptly
  • Perform chargebacks and reimbursements in compliance with Visa regulations, Regulation Z and E, while ensuring recovery documentation is thorough and accurate
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union policies, federal/state laws, and internal audit standards relevant to fraud and compliance operations
  • Document case activity in claims systems, respond to member inquiries, handle merchant rebuttals, and support daily operations with a focus on precision and service excellence


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required with 2+ years of relevant experience in financial services, credit union operations, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Credit Union products, Visa regulations, and federal/state debit/credit card compliance
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communicator with basic Excel skills, operational familiarity with banking equipment, and ability to work independently or collaboratively
