We are looking for a dynamic and personable Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our client’s office—an established structural engineering firm with locations across multiple states. This direct hire, full-time, on-site role based in Tempe, AZ, involves managing front desk operations, answering, and directing phone calls, and delivering top-tier customer service in a fast-paced office environment.

Pay: $22-25/hour DOE


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage front-office operations, including greeting clients and visitors, answering phones, handling incoming/outgoing mail, and maintaining a professional reception area
  • Coordinate internal calendars and appointments, maintain the in/out board, and support scheduling activities with precision
  • Proofread and format Word documents such as proposals and specifications, while managing office supply inventory to ensure readiness
  • Respond to general inquiries and assist with varied operational tasks to support overall business efficiency


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel for database entry and tracking
  • Skilled in phone etiquette, reception protocols, and front-office management, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Recognized for excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor; holds a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in similar roles preferred.
