We are recruiting for a Senior Staff Accountant to join a healthcare company with a multi-state presence. This is an onsite role for our client in the Roseville area who was voted one of the best places to work! Our client offers a fun, entrepreneurial and collaborative work environment. The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, audits and reporting. Salary: $70,000-$90,000 DOE. 


The qualified candidate will have strong GL accounting, process improvement and account reconciliation experience.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the month-end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation.
  • Post and process journal entries ensuring all business transactions are recorded.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting sub-ledgers, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries.
  • Report and process sales and use/excise taxes and managed service provider (MSP) fees. 
  • Assist with documentation and testing of the enterprise reporting system (ERP) updates and modifications.
  • Evaluate and create processes to increase efficiency related to accounting duties.
  • Assist outside auditors by gathering necessary account information and documentation to perform annual audit.
  • Perform other projects as requested by management. 


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounting, account reconciliation, or similar role.
  • Healthcare Industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of GAAP accounting and practices preferred.
  • Experience working within an ERP environment, (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
  • Experience in preparing internal financial statements, both consolidated and divisional/business unit.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost allocation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to act and operate independently and as a part of a team.
  • Proficient with email and Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
