We are recruiting a Human Resources Director for a privately owned and highly successful company in the Lodi area. Our client offers a highly engaged, hard-working, and collaborative leadership team. This direct hire opportunity includes competitive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k with company match.


The Human Resources Director will be responsible for leading a team of 3 direct reports and overseeing employee relations, employee development, safety, Payroll, benefits and workers compensation. Fully onsite with occasional travel to field operations (within 40 minute drive). Salary: $135,000-$155,000 DOE + an average of 15% annual bonus and car allowance.

The ideal candidate will have managed an HR department and has strong employee relations, benefits administration, LOA administration and payroll experience.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Oversee employee relations, including managing conflicts, conducting investigations, and resolving grievances
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing
  • Develop and implement performance management systems to enhance employee productivity and engagement
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to improve employee skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with all labor regulations and keep abreast of changes in employment law
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Handle disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
