An industry-leading organization in Roseville is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join its team. This role offers the chance to be part of a respected and expanding company with a strong market presence. In this role, you will oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, manage benefit-related invoices and deductions, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations. 


The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of four years’ experience in internal payroll and benefits administration, along with at least two years of accounts payable expertise.


Salary: $80,000-$85,000 DOE

Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote after training


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Administer internal bi-weekly payroll ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in partnership with external consultants
  • Manage benefit enrollment and deductions
  • Review and process garnishments with external consultants
  • Address employee payroll and benefits inquiries
  • Assist with annual audits and required payroll/401(k) reporting
  • Handle corporate accounts payable
  • Prepare journal entries for payroll, benefits, and accruals
  • Reconcile corporate billing accounts with accurate allocation across entities/projects
  • Maintain filing systems (digital and physical) and support document preparation for audits
  • Conduct GL account analysis and maintain internal controls/procedures documentation
  • Troubleshoot integration issues between invoice approval and GL systems
  • Participate in weekly accounting meetings and proactively communicate deadlines/issues
  • Monitor cash balances and update internal reports
  • Prepare and record internal transfers and external wires
  • Process bank deposits for Accounts Receivable
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned


SKILLS & QUALIFICATONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in payroll and benefits; at least 2 years of experience with accounts payable 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with payroll system (UKG experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
