We are seeking a Human Resources Analyst to provide professional, analytical, technical, and administrative support across HR operations for our downtown Sacramento client. This role is integral to HRIS management, compliance, reporting, recruitment, and departmental initiatives, while also offering direct support to the Senior Director of Human Resources.   • $35 to $48 (DOE)


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to senior HR leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and preparation of materials.
  • Maintain and update employee data in HRIS systems; generate reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics while assisting with troubleshooting and system enhancements.
  • Support HR operations such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance audits, and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining HR files, conducting audits, and assisting with annual reporting requirements (ACA, EEO, etc.).
  • Collaborate across HR, Finance, IT, and leadership on policy updates, workflow documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead advanced HRIS reporting and analytics, manage complex compliance audits, oversee system upgrades, and provide payroll backup support.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Two to four years of professional HR experience with knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms; Paylocity or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based software, databases, and HR information systems.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently, solve problems, analyze data, and apply technical proficiency with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills with a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
