Tax Accountant

Our client, a small but mighty public accounting firm in the Sacramento area, actively seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join their expanding team. Salary: $100K-$125K per year (DOE).

The qualified candidate has a CPA license and strong GAAP accounting knowledge. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate closely with firm Partners and clients to deliver strategic tax planning, compliance, and consulting services
• Oversee and manage client tax filing requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across engagements
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering trust and long-term advisory relationships
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, contributing to a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture
• Support the firm’s mission to be a proactive, relationship-driven advisor in every client interaction

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of experience in public tax accounting
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and internal teams
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
