Lobby Cashier

The Lobby Cashier serves as the frontline representative, providing exceptional customer service, managing high-volume phone interactions, and supporting both customers and staff across multiple locations. This role requires a professional, energetic, and organized individual who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.


LOCATION: Portland, OR

SALARY:  $20/hr.

SCHEDULE: Full-time, Wednesday-Saturday | 7:30am-6:00pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service - Greet customers, answer questions, resolve concerns, and promote products and services.

  • Manage Phone & Communication Flow - Handle high-volume calls, provide accurate information, and connect customers with appropriate teams across locations.

  • Maintain a Clean, Stocked Lobby - Ensure the lobby is tidy, organized, and fully stocked with refreshments and retail items.

  • Operate POS & Handle Payments - Accurately process transactions, manage a balanced cash drawer, and follow proper cash handling procedures.

  • Stay Organized & Multitask Efficiently - Balance walk-in service, phone calls, cleanliness, and restocking in a fast-paced environment.

  • Support Team Communication & Feedback - Relay customer feedback and operational issues to management to improve service and coordination.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Customer Service Experience - Background in retail, hospitality, or similar customer-facing roles preferred.

  • Strong Communication & Problem-Solving - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues calmly and effectively.

  • Professionalism & Adaptability - High emotional intelligence, patience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Physical Readiness - Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods (standing/walking/cleaning up to 85% of the time).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

This role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods. Expect to spend approximately 70% of your time standing, 15% walking or cleaning, and 15% lifting or performing light physical tasks.
