Electrical Design Engineer


We are excited to present a direct hire opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a company built on integrity and continuous improvement. Location: 100% onsite in Vancouver, WA

Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 per year (DOE)

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:30am – 5:00pm (four 10-hour shifts)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical products according to customer specifications from concept to completion.
  • Support and maintain existing company products.
  • Provide support to other departments, including debugging, testing, and possible repair of electrical equipment.
  • Use internal systems for documentation and version control, including SharePoint, EPDM, and SVN.
  • Carry out job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years experience in hardware and firmware design
  • Experience designing a variety of circuits, including analog interfaces, microcontrollers, motor controllers/drivers, and sensors
  • Microchip PIC/dsPIC experience is a plus
  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout, preferably using Altium tools
  • Skilled in writing efficient, well-documented real-time firmware for microcontrollers/DSPs in C
  • Familiarity with PSPICE
  • Knowledge of FPGAs and HDL a plus
  • Skilled with test equipment: DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, microcontroller debuggers
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to design for efficiency, testability, and manufacturability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently as needed
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent research, multi-tasking, scheduling, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Dexterity for typing and writing
  • Ability to read technical documents and schematics
