Insurance Data Specialist


This role involves collaboration with affiliate companies, vendors, and public entities to gather required information for insurance application submissions. Also includes coordination and constructive interaction with external insurance brokers.

LOCATION: Portland, OR

SALARY: $45-66/hr. DOE

SCHEDULE: Full-time, 8-5 Monday-Friday, Hybrid


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage insurance renewal processes, including form creation, data entry, certificate issuance, and maintaining organized filing systems.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external brokers to gather and verify data for insurance applications and underwriting requirements.

  • Utilize SharePoint and Riskonnect systems for application creation, policy management, and data transfer tasks.

  • Compile and track insurance coverage details such as property values, vehicle information, and certificate terms for company compliance and risk programs.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Insurance Program & Compliance Support: Experienced in corporate insurance renewals, COIs, policy management, and surety bond documentation, with a strong focus on compliance for projects and events.

  • Data & Systems Proficiency: Skilled in data collection and analysis for property and fleet insurance, with hands-on experience using SharePoint and familiarity with platforms like Riskonnect RIM.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to coordinate with brokers, vendors, and internal teams, managing multiple tasks while maintaining clear, professional communication.

  • Organization & Project Support: Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to support ongoing insurance processes, special projects, and cross-functional team needs.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Standard office activity: Prolonged sitting, frequent typing, and handling of documents and office tools.

  • Mobility & light lifting: Occasional standing, walking, bending, and ability to lift up to 15 lbs for file and document management.

  • Communication & visual tasks: Clear verbal communication and visual acuity for reading reports, using screens, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
