Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant | Paralegal to support a fast-paced law firm in Portland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oregon civil litigation. Experience in insurance defense is highly preferred.

LOCATION: Portland, OR
SALARY: $70-75k+/yr. DOE
SCHEDULE: Full-time, M-F; 37.5 hour work-week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and electronically file legal documents with the Oregon District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all filing protocols.

Manage critical litigation timelines by overseeing docketing, calendaring, and deadline tracking in compliance with the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure (ORCP).

Act as a key point of contact by coordinating and facilitating clear, professional communication between attorneys, court personnel, clients, and third parties.

Support case preparation and procedural compliance by organizing filings, monitoring case activity, and ensuring timely responses to court requirements and legal deadlines.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-
10+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal in civil litigation—while insurance defense is preferred, we welcome candidates with a strong background in any area of Oregon civil litigation.

Demonstrated proficiency in electronic filing procedures with both the Oregon District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Extensive experience in docketing and calendaring, along with a deep understanding of the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure (ORCP) to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Proven ability to support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, including hands-on involvement in trial preparation and in-court trial support.

Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven legal environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This office position involves walking and seated work at a desk, including typing, reaching, bending, and regular use of a computer.
