Service Technician
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our growing team in Portland, Oregon. LOCATION: Portland, OR
SALARY: $30-38/hr. DOE
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 8am-5pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on street sweepers, sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, and related equipment
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot issues using electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Operate service vehicles, maintain accurate service records, follow safety protocols, and stay current with training and equipment knowledge
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience with related equipment
- Full set of personal tools, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a drug screening
- Eagerness to learn and interpret both electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Previous experience with street sweepers and combination sewer cleaning trucks is a plus
- Willingness to obtain a Class B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds), and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Skilled in handling tools and machinery, with manual dexterity to perform detailed repairs in various conditions
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, outdoors, and in all weather, while adhering to safety protocols
