Engineering Technologist | Ogden, UT

We are seeking an Engineering Technologist to support the engineering and manufacturing development phase of a large-scale, long-term infrastructure modernization program in Ogden, Utah. This role provides engineering and technical support for the design, construction, and integration of complex launch and facilities infrastructure across multiple U.S. locations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility program focused on modernizing critical systems within a highly regulated environment, offering long-term stability and professional growth.

Responsibilities

•    Support Mechanical Engineering leadership, Lead Engineers, and Project Engineers/Managers by identifying and extracting technical data from multiple sources

•    Track engineering schedules and report progress in alignment with project requirements

•    Organize and coordinate engineering submittals, drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops

•    Collect, organize, and present technical data using databases and computer-based tools

•    Interface with multiple engineering disciplines to support day-to-day project activities

•    Track engineering documentation, locate records, and maintain open-item and punch-list status

•    Prepare presentation materials, technical briefings, and meeting documentation

•    Assist engineers with preparation, review, and back-checking of technical documentation, including CAD updates

•    Ensure work is completed to high-quality standards while meeting project schedules

•    Maintain Key Process Improvement (KPI) registers and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

•    U.S. citizenship required due to facility access requirements

•    Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance within a reasonable timeframe

•    Valid, unexpired Real ID–compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID at time of hire

•    Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening (including marijuana testing)

•    2+ years of relevant engineering or technical experience

•    High School diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Associate of Arts or Science degree

•    Strong written and verbal communication skills

•    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint

•    Strong computer aptitude for collecting, organizing, and analyzing technical data

•    Ability to analyze large technical documents and accurately classify data

•    High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

•    Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team

•    Interest in learning intelligent Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

Pay

$58,000 per year

Schedule

8:00am–5:00pm, 9x80 work schedule (every other Friday off)
